    Exploration of the Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek & Hunza Valley.

    Islamabad – Hunza Valley -Nagar Valley-Minapin -Rakaposhi Basecamp-Chilas/Gilgit-Islamabad

     

    The route leading to RAKAPOSHI BASE CAMP is situated near MINAPIN hamlet in the Nagar Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan’s Northern Region. It is readily accessed from the Karakoram Highway (KKH) or KARIMABAD HUNZA. One of the easiest paths in the Karakoram, it offers all the enjoyment of walking, including glacier crossing, and is appropriate for hikers of all ages and physical fitness levels.

    DayProgram/Activity
    1Arrival at Islamabad airport and transfer to hotel. Sightseeing in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, visit the local market. Overnight in Islamabad 
    2Drive to CHILAS (10-12 HRS) via Babusar Pass or Karakorum Highway or Fly to Gilgit. Overnight in Chilas/Gilgit
    3Drive to Karimabad Hunza. Visit Baltit and Altit Forts. Overnight in Karimabad (Hotel).
     4Excursion to Duiker (Eagles Nest) and Ganesh village. Drive to Minapin village (01 hour). Traditional Dinner at Local restaurant. Overnight stay in Minapin (Hotel).  
    5Trek towards Hapakun it will take 3 hours from Minapin & it’s about 6 km uphill. Overnight stay in Hapakun (Camping Site).
    6Trek towards Tagaphri its about 3300 meters from the sea level it would take 2 hours & its about 3 KM uphill. You can see Rakaposhi & Diran peak RAKAPOSHI, and the interlaced ice wall finally you get a complete view. Overnight stay in Tagaphri (camping site).
    7Relax day to go on the glacier and return to the Minapin for the night. Overnight stay in Minapin (Hotel).
    8Drive towards Chilas it will take 5 hours. Visit Gilgit Market (Bazar). Overnight stay in Chilas (Hotel).
    9Drive to Islamabad (8-10 HRS) via Babusar Pass or Karakorum Highway. Farwell dinner at Islamabad.
    10Drop off at Airport.
