    Exploration Shimshal valley treks.

    Islamabad -Naran -Central Hunza -Passu -Shimshal – Zardgarbin-Maidur-Shimshal pass-Hunza-Gilgit-Islamabad

    The Karakorum’s most isolated inhabited regions on our amazing walk. You must go to the most challenging and isolated regions, like Shimshal, to find Hunza tradition still practiced. Our journey passes through the entire Hunza Valley, and the walk passes through a tight ravine and across rigged mountains before arriving at Shimshal Village, home to around 550 of the 2500 Shimshali households. Living in hamlets surrounded by terraced and irrigated farms, they are all Ismaili. Before you walk forth along the same road, use the day you have free to explore. This rewarding trek takes you to high pasture regions worth seeing, as well as Zardgarbin Pass (4600m) and Shimshal Pass (4735m).

     

    DayProgram/Activity
    1Arrival in Islamabad. Check in to the hotel. Sunset at Margalla hills. Overnight Islamabad.
    2Drive to Chilas along Karakorum Highway/Babusar Pass. overnight Chilas.
    or
    Fly to Gilgit and drive to Hunza (2 hours). Overnight Chilas/Hunza Hotel. Depends on the weather.
    3After early morning breakfast, drive to Hunza from Chilas(6 hours), and lunch at Hunza, sunset at Duiker. Overnight Hunza.
    or
    Full day in Hunza valley visiting forts, Bazaar, valley walks and sunset at Duiker. Overnight Hunza.
     4After having a breakfast, Transfer to 4X4 Jeeps. Drive towards Shimshal Village (4-5 Hours). after an adventures off road drive having lunch in beautiful Shimshal valley, valley walks and meeting local people. Overnight in Shimshal valley.
    5A relaxing free day at Shimshal village to explore and hike around. Overnight in Shimshal.  
    6Early breakfast and then we start our journey towards the next destination. Strat Hiking Towards to Zardgarbin (3,800m). Overnight Camping in Zardgarbin.  
    7Head to Maidur (3600m) after crossing Zardgarbin Pass (4600m). Overnight stay in Camping, Maidur.
    8Relax day to explore around and take a good rest. Overnight stay in Camping, Maidur.  
    9Hike back to Zardgarbin. Overnight stay in camping.  
    10Hike Backward to Shimshal from Zardgarbin. Overnight stay in Shimshal.  
    11The 4X4 Jeep drives to Passu. Lunch at Passu then drive back to Hunza by van/bus. dinner and traditional music later in the night. Overnight in Hunza.
    12Drive to Gilgit while visiting the Rakaposhi view point Ghulmet Nagar along the way. Explore Gilgit city, Visiting market, and shopping. Overnight Gilgit.  
    13After breakfast, Catching flight to Islamabad. Free time to explore Islamabad city. Overnight in Islamabad.
    14Transferred to Islamabad international airport and flight back home.
