The Nanga Parbat Base Camp

Trip highlights: Islamabad – Raikot-Tattu -Fairy Meadows -Beyal-Nanga Parbat Basecamp.

 

Exploration of the Fairy Meadow Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek:

The path is on the northern side of the Himalayas in Pakistan’s Diamir District of Gilgit-Baltistan. Nanga Parbat and a few kilometers in Chilas, south of the Indus River and the Karakorum Highway. At 3,300 meters, Fairy Meadows is a verdant plateau that provides a glimpse of 8,126 meters of Nanga Parbat, popularly referred to as the “KILLER MOUNTAIN” due to the high number of climbers who have perished on the ascent. The Himalayan range’s western anchor, Nanga Parbat, marks the start of the Karakoram range.

Day Program
01 Arrive at Islamabad Airport, and meet our guide. Sightseeing in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Overnight at Islamabad.
02 Fly to Gilgit or Chilas on Karakoram Highway/Babusar Pass (10-12 hours). Overnight at Gilgit/Chilas.
03 Drive from Chilas or Gilgit to Raikot Bridge, and transfer to the local jeep. Drive to Tattu village for one and a half hours, then hike to Fairy Meadows for 2-3 hours. Overnight at Fairy Meadows.
04 Early morning Trek 2-3 hours through the forest, reach Beyal Camp then viewpoint and continue to Nanga Parbat base 3900M, return to Beyal Camp. (Total 6-7 hours) Overnight at Beyal.
05 A relaxing day at Beyal camp. Trek to fairy meadows (01 hour). Visit the reflection pond & signal point. Overnight stay at Fairy Meadows.
06 Drive towards Raikot Bridge by Tattu village and jeeps, then drive to Chilas via Karakorum Highway. Overnight at Chilas.
07 Drive towards Islamabad via Karakorum Highway or Babusar Pass. Farewell dinner at Islamabad. Overnight at Islamabad
08 Drop off at the Airport.
